Darin is a Criminal Defence Lawyer with RG Defence. He represents clients charged with all offences under the Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Traffic Safety Act. Darin believes strongly in the importance of having a good and thorough defence for any and all charges that you may be facing. This means strong advocacy that includes close attention to his clients’ personal circumstances and a well-researched and effectively presented defence.

Prior to joining RG Defence, Darin completed his articles at a general practice firm in Slave Lake, Alberta, and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2023. He then worked at a general practice firm in Edmonton, where he continued to gain experience in criminal defence. Darin has a keen interest in criminal justice, and criminal defence in particular, and brings that interest and dedication to work every day.

Darin was born and raised in Edmonton. He has a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Philosophy from the University of Alberta, where he was awarded the Honors Medal for finishing first in his class. He went on to receive his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Since becoming a lawyer Darin has appeared regularly before both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.
